Dr Vikki Taylor

​

 

I am truly passionate about working with children, young people, families, wider systems and communities towards understanding and supporting experiences of complex trauma and attachment needs.

 

I enjoy working alongside care experienced and adopted children and young people. I have developed significant experience, skill and passion in this area during my post-qualified career. I particularly enjoy and have developed highly specialist knowledge and skills in delivering consultations, facilitating supervision and reflective groups for wider professional groups and organisations, including teaching and training.

My Approach

​I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over 13 years experience working in the field of mental health and trauma informed practice.

 

My specialist interest is complex trauma and attachment, with my post-qualified career spent working with care experienced children and young people. I have developed significant skill in delivering consultations, facilitating supervision and reflective groups for professionals alongside teaching and training.

 

I am high specialised and competent with delivering assessment, formulation and intervention, both on an individual and systemic level. I also carry out psychological assessments of children and families within the Family Court arena. I particularly enjoy working creatively with young people and their networks in a trauma informed way.

  • University of Abertay Dundee BSc (Hons) Forensic Psychobiology
